SERIES DECIDER FORMAT RELEASED - 24/08/11

Athletes should register at 3pm on Saturday for the Legacy Survival format. With over 600 Nippers still remaining on the beach this should be a great spectacle.

The race plan is to have a double swim leg - NO WETSUITS this time with places accruing prize money and points to go towards the days total. It then moves on to a double Board leg where competitors will have to carry their board around the turning flag before completing the course again. Things will then move on to the ski leg where handlers will be permitted to turn the craft around whilst athletes must caryy their paddle around the turn flag. As the first finisher in each race crosses the line the 15 minute reciovery clock starts thus giving those at the back of the field less time to prepare for the next race.

The individual programme will then break for the 9 person Taplin relay with the order of Board, Ski, swim already been drawn, then it's back to the final event the 2 k beach run to decide who will be crowned Legacy champions of 2011.

Sam Moore is in pole position in the mens competition with Ellie Parker leading the womens,

Jamie Green the U18 boys and Lily Nichols the U16 girls. Whilst Charlie Haynes leads the U14 boys comp he will surely be out to take the scalps of those older and more experience than him as the race sees all the men in together.

Wildcards are accepted at £15 and we all wait to see what shape the returning champion Dan Humble is in after the long flight from Western Australia this week.
