Parker Looks Set To Dominate! - 15/05/10
Early season form suggests that Eliie Parker from Woolacombe looks set to dominate the under 16 age group in this years Legacy Super Teams competition. The questionon everyones lips is ''Will she contest the open category instead?''
After convincing victories in the first round of the Bennett Board series at Porteath and the Icon British Ski series at Rhoose early season form suggetss that she will be the one to watch!!
After what appeared to be a difficult decision to move swimming clubs, Ellie looks to have gone from strength to strength on the craft. I am sure team mates Grace Clark and Lily Nicholls will be hot on her heels along with the Welsh contingent of Hannah Griffiths and Kerstin Watts.
With the withdrawal of past UK champions Rach Pascoe and Sara Rowe from the open womens competition, the series looks wide open between last years winner Eva Murphy, Rhian Thomas, Fay Mills and possibly Parker.
The mens form guide is a little bit more complex however! Andrew 'Milky' Byatt off to a flying start in the board series will no doubt challenge the likes of Dan Humble and Robbie Sandbach early season. Taw Triple winner Garod Thomas of team Hurricane looks the strongest of the Welsh competitors.
In the under 18 Men the early season form points to Josh Newing of Portreath, Freddie Hedger (Woolacombe)and James Bunney from Saunton although youngster Tom Bolt from Porteath would be a good outside bet as would Jorda Roberts if he can maintain early season ski form into th rest of the disciplines.
With only 4 weeks to go until race 1 at Goldcoast Oceanfest the pressure is on to get off to a good start!!
