OCEAN SWIM CLASSIC - 13/07/08
Dead Heat after 2.5K.
Nobody could have predicted the final result of the Legacy Events/Aquarius Swim school Ocean chsllenge!! After 28 minutes of relentless lead swapping Nick Thorn and James Dallyn sprinted up the beach stride for stride, and crossed the line in a dead heat! Both settting the course record of 28monutes 51 seconds. Woolacombes' Freddie Hedger only 15 finished 3rd, with ex World Champion Keith Gammon 4th.
Rebekah Shapland took out the female race finishing 5th overall in a time of 34 minutes 12 seconds from Abbie Jeffery and Kirsty Robertson respectively.
Earlier that evening the 1K fun swim was won by Ellie Parker with Scooby Lark finishing a close second and the first boy home.
Congratulations to all finishers and well done to all who exceeded their expectations.
